Grey skies are gonna clear up...
put on a happy face! We are still in Sevilla, Spain, just soaking up the sun. Today it was 23 C and not a cloud was to be seen in the sky. We have a rooftop terrace in our hostel with couches, hammocks and we have been taking absolute advantage of our situation.
Ok, so I don´t want to rub it in too much, as the last time I did when we were in Barcelona we got crappy weather for the next 2 days. What goes around comes around I guess lol. But honestly I heard Toronto is getting yet another snow storm so I will be praying for you folks. Seriously, I think its reached that point!
Sevilla has been pretty cool. Yesterday we pretty much just chilled at the hostel and soaked up the sun like I just said. It was too nice out and our hammocks looked way too comfortable for us to do anything else. I kept laughing to myself and thinking about Angelo cause he wouldve loved it. I know we love just chillin and drinkin in the summer in the garage, but I think this one tops it in the lazy factor bro!
Yesterday night (Tuesday) we went out with our new German friend Thilo and did a little pub crawl of our own. We went to a bar by the river here where a number of Americans frequent and also a bar across the river where mostly Spanish frequent. We met a few Americans at the first bar from Chicago and New York, as they were here studying Spanish. We also did some Jager bombs cause Thilo says they dont have them in Germany, and bought Heineken for 1 Euro!
Today we checked out some of the city of Sevilla. We saw the outside of the cathedral here but didnt want to pay to see the inside cause it was so expensive. Apparently it is the 3rd biggest cathedral in the world behind the Vatican and St. Paul´s in London. Inside they also had Christopher Columbus´tomb, but we didn´t go in to see it. I have heard it is quite gorgeous inside, but I guess I have a problem when churches are turned into such tourist traps. Its just me but I think maybe they lose their purity and purpose in the first place.
Sevilla is very beautiful, similar in many ways to its bigger Spanish sister cities, but unique in many other ways. We have noticed a more Islamic influence in some of the architecture, even in the cathedral. We have also noticed fewer prostitutes on the street which is a plus haha.
Tonight we are out to a club, not too sure which one. We havent been to a club yet in Spain so it will be interesting to see what its like. But I would imagine not too much different than at home.
So take care everyone, and hope you are all doing well.
P.S. Justin no need to be sorry I always understand dude, hope everything works out for ya and talk to ya soon. Take care.
