Day six we visited grand cayman, cayman islands, on our last port day. ken n i have decided this is where we will retire. its a beautiful spot, very relaxed n tax free. first off our guide showed us around n there were some very very expensive condominiums for the rich n famous. he took us to a town called hell, were the school is hell, post office is hell etc. then he took us to a turtle farm, were they are bred for release. we got to hold tiny little babies n some really big turtles. the kids really loved it. we had a nice lunch of typical cayman food, fish or chicken, more beans n rice, u can guess how that has worked with the boys. then we went to swim with the stingrays, first we did some snorkelling. this time we were dropped to the site, it was beautiful, heaps of colourful fish. then we stopped for the stingrays. initially the kids were hesitant but they got in n held the rays, fed them, n kissed them for seven years good luck. They r just like puppy dogs they were all over us swimming between ur legs jumping up. That night was our last elegant night n we dressed up again.
Day seven was a sea day the weather was cloudy no rain n abut cool. The ship was quiet ken n I found a double hammock n curled up and slept under our towels while the kids were off with their new friends. As this was our last day it also meant we had to pack to leave.
Day eight was our goodbye to carnival liberty. Our last gorging buffet they it was the waiting game to be called for the debarkation. Naturally we were the second last group to be called. We've know picked up our hire car n start exploring Miami. Will say hello to don Johnson for you if I see him. Take care n stay safe xx
