Hi,

So I finally made it here, although my suitcase didn't come with me! Looks like everything is on a 24hr delay! After some problems at Heathrow on Friday my flight from Edinburgh didn't get in on time to catch my connection and then couldn't fly out again until nearly 24 hours later! Got here this morning, beautiful weather, sunny and warm. The upside of my suitcase being on its way to Singapore is that Quantas gave me some money to go shopping, so I bought an entire outfit for under $100 AUD and its quite cute! Trying to decide what I'm going to do in the next few days, looks like a tour of nearby North Stradbroke Island is in store and possibly some trekking round Brisbane - I really want to see the Botanic Gardens. Its so beautiful here and I'm just pleased to see my cousin Shelley and her little girl Zali. I've even been roped in to help with reading at Zali's school on Wednesday morning - hopefully the kids won't come out pronouncing everything as if they come from Fife!
