Our three day camel safari was great! Three days with sand and more sand. The dessert around here is green with trees and grass with some sand dunes inbetween. We started with a very bumpy jeep tour at a very high speed, not super comfortable.
The days in the dessert were the same, riding in the morning with some stops, maybe in a village or at some water hole so the camels could drink, then lunch and then sleep for a couple of hours, and then a few more hours on the camel until we reach a sand dune for the night. We slept under the stars. It was nice to be out of the city chaos for a while, jsut following the rythem of the camel. Kirstens camel was Mr. Tiger and mine was Mr. Kamal. Not all of them were well trained and one of them had just started the safari business, but everything went well! We had a lot of fun! We also found some new muscles that we didn't knew we had.
We saw some beetles, antillas and other dessert creatures, some nice some not so nice. After 6 layers with sand and sun cream we were happy to be back and the shower.
Today we walked around Jaisalmer Fort and the museum, the place is nice but some times a bit confusing with all the small streets with no names (at least not in a language that we understand). We have also seen some beautilful havellies, its amazing how they can carve these things out of stone!
