I am telling you now the whole world is sponsored by HSBC. Absolutely everything. You can't go anywhere without seeing one of their signs. In every airport, every hotel, every street. But the weirdest thing I've see was in the Revolutionary Museum in Saigon. The sign for the restrooms was sponsored by Kronenbourg 1664.
So glad I was feeling good enough to go out in Ho Chi Minh City. I loved it. It was the right mix of Western and Asian. It was crazy and massive but I really liked all the cafes, bars and restaurants. I like being able to sit and relax in a coffee shop when it's really busy outside. The best part was all the art shops. One street would have 7 differnet shops selling paintings and the artist would be sitting there painting. Some of the work was amazing.
There was lots of fancy posh shops like Gucci but it was really funny because everytime you passed one of these shops there would be a straight faced guard on the door giving you evil eyes. When you are wearing shorts and t-shirt and dripping of sweat I don't think they want your business. I pretty sure one guy would have tackled me if I had tried to enter. If I got the chance I would definately go back to Ho Chi Minh City.
At night we got the sleeper train to Nha Trang. We weren't sure what to expect but the train was a nice surprise. We were first class so it was little cabins of four with nice bunk beds, a little table and a TV. We get another one tonight to Danang.
Nha Trang is bigger than we were expecting. Its got a really nice beach and this is the first place we have had intense sun so it feels like a proper holiday. Yestererday me and Nicola took the cable ars over to Vinpearl Land on another island. Its sorta like a hot Blackpool. The waterpark was good and they had a sealife centre which was cool.
You may be wondering why I haven't posted and pictures yet. Well my camera was stolen a couple of days into the trip so I will have to wait til Oz to get copies of Nicolas pics. Oh well atleast I can just injoy myself I feel like some of the others spent so much time looking through a lense their not really seing anything.
I think thats about everything. I will post again soon. Lots of love Kirs. xx
P.S. Ryan I would welcome my own washing machine right now. Try washing your clothes in a bathroom sink for two weeks. x
