Not alot happened i guess the rest of the time in Cuzco, although when i read Seb´s blog on the 2 weeks we spent here im sure i will disagree!
It was a great time that we spent there, 2 weeks in and out of dorm rooms in loki, the many many great people we met, the days we spent hungover in the tv room watching the OC, the 4pm movie (our pick was top gun wooohoo), the falafel burgers we ate which were bigger than our heads! the huge steps we needed to walk up and down every day to get to town (hard at 3600m ASL, but which DEFINITELY helped us prepare for the masses of stairs on the Inka trail!) our pledge to never catch a taxi up the stairs just to be lazy which i think we did GREAT at! only when we were hungover did we break that!
the nights out in cuzco were great, we´d drink at the hostel till 1am or so till the bar shut,... the drinks there sucked too cos they were just vodka plus mixer or scotch plus mixer or beer or crap wine.... choices VERY limited! we got so sick of the drinks that the nights when we went other places meant we had a great time. so after the hostel bar shut we would head into town with everyone else from Loki and go to either mama africas, mythology, or inka team and drink there from the free drinks we got (which were a local scotch and coke... not so appetising but free so meh!). had a few great nights there when we went out and danced till morning! the best night for me was probably the night we met these two english guys who were also staying in our dorm room and we went to see a pink floyd cover band (who after the magicians act... seriously... doing magic tricks in the bar...) came on (maybe at 11pm or later) and then proceeded to play EVERYTHING but pink floyd! HILARIOUS!!! it was ok cos they played alot of pearl jam and we loved it. the guys also had a couple they knew in cuzco who were holidaying so they came to 7 angels to see this band too. hilarous but great cos we drank long island iced teas all night hahahaha they were TOXIC... all alcohol and no mixers but it was hilarious. then we went to mama africa where we proceeded to peer pressure the guys into drinking all night with us even thouigh they had to go white water rafting the next day, and we helped one of them talk spanish so that they could pick up a spanish chick... actually now that i think back on it though i dont think he was successful!!
anyway it was great, many massages, relax and stone massages, time in the sun, drinking, dancing, making friends, eventually giving in and staying in a dorm room instead of moving rooms every day... it was all amazing in cuzco. not much to tell but thats why this place was amazing... there was no pressure to ´need´ to do stuff every day, to need tos ee the tourist places that everyone else sees and get guides to do it... we just chilled... thus making this one of my favourite places and one i will look back on very fondly!
