HELLO!
We stayed a few days (too many?) in Phnom Penh. It is probably the most dirty city we've been in.. But we did some sightseeing while waiting on our visa to Vietnam. The first day we hired a tuk tuk driver with a guy from Australia and one from Canada and went to the killing fields and S21 (a high school that was turned to a prison during the Khmer Rough period), and man was that depressing and so unreal. Polpot really ruined so much for Cambodia and its people. We still can't get how something like that i possible..
The rest of the days we spent walking around in the city, and spending money and getting frustrated at the "tukk tuk, lady?" "tuk tuk, lady?", "Something to drink, lady? One dollar, lady", "tuk tuk, lady?". How many times is it possible to sa y "NO, thank you" in one day?:p Well we spent lots of dollars. BUT to good causes! We went eating at some places that trains and educate street kids and helps them get work afterwards, and one time we went to a cafe called Daughters of Cambodia, which is run by victims of human trafficking and helps them reenter the society by giving them jobs and education. Well spend money!
Yesterday we arrived in Saigon and it went a lot smoother than when we first came to the other places. We actually really like it here allready. Today we went to the market, the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame. And if we thought there were a lot of motos and traffick in Phnom Penh... here it is CRAZY! But so far we've survived ;)
