Sunday we were booked into sand boarding and a little trip into the desert. Luckily the weather was slightly better so thanks to all of you who did cross your fingers for us,

We had a huge 13 hours sleep saturday night! And woke sunday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed. We had some breakfast and headed into Dubai marina on the metro, where we had a complete c*** up with single tickets.... if you are thinking about going to Dubai and using the metro we recommend you to just buy unlimited day travel tickets. MUCH EASIER. We got fined exit tickets TWICE due to having the wrong tickets which was really annoying, rant over. We did ALOT of walking and had to get a taxi back to the metro as we did get lost, again.... The metro was around the corner so the taxi was pretty useless but it only cost us £2.00 so never mind.

We were picked up by the hotel by orient tours and drove for about 45 minutes into the desert. We stopped for some photo opportunities on the sand dunes and realised how unfit we were when trying to climb up them. (Our quads will hurt in the morning!) we then went 4x4 off roading, it was insane. We were in the back of the car so it was really bumpy and at some points we were vertical and horizontal. We then stopped at a camel farm, rode a camel and did a spot of sand boarding. Jess was a natural (well she would be wouldn't she- not jealous at all) she had perfect balance on the board and didn't fall over once. I completely face planted a dune and my premonition of being the female tony hawkes of the sand boarding world was shattered forever. In short jess loves sand boarding and I hate it. SORE LOSER.

We then got to watch the sunset, and ate the nicest dinner ever of salad, pitta, hummous, olives and bbq'd meats, :) we even got a henna tattoo, held some form of bird.... No idea what it was and watched some local dancing and belly dancing which we may try and re-inact when we get back to our room. Ha,

Anyways we had a SUPER SUNDAY!
