...................woah...........sorry to leave you all on a cliffhanger like that but it was like the film.......one minute we were having thee time of our lives.........hungover granted but one dip in the freezing water we soon woke up.......the rapids were extreme...grades 3...up to 5 which is pretty heavy.........as we soon found out. we were practising our poses for the photo of us as we chundered into the grade 4 rapid.....should've been easy but we capsised a little and i tried to hold onto hays legs but she slipped out of my hands and was literally sucked out of the raft and under the rapids.................scary as! i've been in rapids before and have been held under the boat as the strength of the current holds you under.....and come out okay....seen enough people do exactly the same and fallen out of a boat and ended up going down stream and being okay..............but i've never seen hay look like that before....it was pretty tense as there were no more boats to catch her downstream....and we missed her once...and there was another rapid further down.....so we all paddled like mad to catch her and all i remember was screaming at her to "SWIM!" finally i grabbed hold of her and managed to chuck her into the boat......we were all shoken up as she then said that shes never been that scared....and felt that if we hadn't have caught her she was so knackered that she may not have made the next rapid...................OH MY GOD.....HEAVY! but no worries pee pole.....shes still here! phwew!!!!!!! right thankfully leaving there with everyone..........we were off to wellington where we stayed for two days..bumped into our canadian friend we met surfing up in the northlands..............and visited the lord of the rings exhibition at the museum....vvvvvvvvvvvvery cool! i want to be a arrow firing elf.............yeah. we caught the 3hour ferry to picton.............the south island adventure begins......!
