Ho Chi Minh City
Today we went on a trip into the Mekong delta. First we took a boat through a floating Market, which was not like, or as good as, I was expecting it to be. I think I was expecting something like Bangkok (like in the Walkers adverts) however the boats were bigger and it wasn't as busy. We then stopped in a little water village where we got to see them make rice paper (very cool), coconut sweets (actually tasted quite nice even with the coconut), taste 80% rice wine ( only had one shot but burns and could be deadly) and finally make caramel rice cakes which was quite cool.We then took the boat through the delta to a local area where we ate some Vietnamese food and went on a bike ride. After lunch we went on a rowing boat which was lots of fun, probably more for us than the girl steering the boat. We all also had our photos taken wearing the Vietnamese hats which meant we didn't have to buy them. There were lots if little bridges connecting all the homes and the water was a brown dirty colour.Later in the night time we went for dinner in La Cantina again because we are obsessed and then Lyns and I went to get alterations made to our suits. Ally and Loz went to meet some boys who were on our trip with us. Later we joined them and went to a couple of bars, it was amazing how many prostitutes I saw!!!!!
