Phnom Penh
Today we went for a buffet breakfast on the hope that it would fill me
up for the whole day however the choice was limited. Ended up having
croissants and banana pancakes.
We then went to the Killing Fields which was another somber
experience. They are about 15km outside Phnom Penh and this was where all
the people went to be killed. In front you have a huge very ornate
building which was filled with layer after layer of skulls.
Then you just got to walk around the fields which weren't as big as I
expected they were also a lot prettier than I expected. There was a
strange atmosphere with pretty flowers, butterflys flying arround
everywhere and the sound of kids playing in the background. Yet you
are walking over peoples graves and there are clothes and bones coming
out of the ground as the ground above them has been washed away.
Later we walked around the City and saw the Palace and went to the night
Market
which wasn't as good as some but was still good.
Tomorrow we are getting the bus from Phnom Penh to Ho chi minh city
early in the morning so early to bed
