Friday 24thGot to Cork Airport early but had to wait for car hire people to get rid of car. Once again in executive class and given breakfast which we kept for our lunch at Ciba House before we went to London to New Zealand House and then to the bank. On way out of Tralee I drove into Ballyseede Castle but it did not look impressive and then on the road found a sculpture by a Breton depicting young Ireland stepping out as his father lay dying. Tuesday 21st July.Made straight for Dingle through Castlemain and Inch with the Dingle Bay on our left and hills on our right. Monday 20th July 1981Drove down to the ring of Kerry with narrow and windy roads. In one place we were held up for half and hour while a coach passed a truck on a corner. Most people were very cautious. The McGillycuddy's Reeks not seen much because of low cloud. Views of beaches, rocky outcrops and rocky coast without much growing on them.
