Sunday July 26th & Monday 27th
London to Hong Kong

Went to 11.00 am Service at All Souls church, Langham Place which went on to midday.
Then collected luggage and went with Margaret out to her place for lunch.
Left again at 2.30 pm for airport via North Circular Road and Eling and went through boarding procedure.
Very hot and sticky but no great problems.

Took off on time and saw nothing really till we reached Hong Kong.
It was a smooth trip with no serious turbulence.
Seemed to eat all the time. Four meals in 15 hours.
One hour spent at Bahrain where temperature was 95 degrees F and we were not allowed off the plane.
Air conditioning could not cope.

At Hong Kong had been raining but fairly hot and sticky still.
Went to our rooms and slept before evening meal.
Modest affair/ no-coffee room.
Then walked the brilliant streets. Shops all the way full of temptation and probably also full of bargains.
Left two big cases at airport so pretty light on luggage and clothes. Hope we get by.
Park Hotel, in Cameron Street, Kowloon and completely surrounded by restaurants and shops.
May open even in the evening.
