I don't think I could ever put my love for Venice into words. I'll start out with the morning where we decided to sleep in a bit because we had all forgotten what that felt like. We headed to Lido and got some basic grocery items for breakfast and for snacks. It was pretty cheap and clean! We got ready and went to the bus stop across the street. Only then do we think about needing tickets so we run back to the front desk and the guys knew exactly what we needed and helped us. It was refreshing to be treated correctly! We missed that bus. Not a big deal, one came about 20 minutes later. We got into the city and just got excited already! I really do love this place more than anywhere in the world. We walked around for a bit and saw a crap ton of shops. Then we bought gelato and hung out by Rialto Bridge. We kept walking and got to St. Mark's Square. The place was packed! So many more people compared to January! We sat and people watched for a good while. Couples really think it's okay to stop and suck each other's faces. But really, it's not. Ever. The outfits were pretty amusing as well. Apparently they don't like people sitting on the ground because they made us get up. I really wanted this hunter green hoodie, but it was either XS or XL. I am neither, so I turned that down and got a Kelly green one which I'm pretty happy with. We split a huge pizza for dinner and it's not even a question if we got more gelato. It was so sad to say goodbye to KitKat gelato again. Actually it's hard enough to leave Venice. I know I am extremely lucky to be here once but to come again a little more than a year later is something so special. We grabbed the bus back to Camping Rialto and just hung out for the night. We were all pretty tired and beat down. Tomorrow will be an early morning!
