Normal day to start with, showered with my foot still hurting a bit, cool. Then we got our free breakfast again, score. Then we were off to the metro to go to the train station. We freaked out where to get the tickets from because we had no idea. We went to the help desk and the guy was kind of a jerk but pointed us in a direction so we just went with it. We finally get the tickets and then wait to see what BIN our train will be at. Mini freak out again as every other Bin for the other trains go up. Eventually the number pops up and we rush to get to the train. What we should have been doing was figuring out what number car we should be on but we take a stab in the dark and guess car 7 because out seats were 71-74. Looking back on it, that's terrible logic. It's basically saying there are 10 seats to a car. So we were wrong. We see a 2 on our ticket, you know, the one totally in Italian. Once again, wrong. Someone decides to help us but they are having a hard time finding the location and communicating but apparently we should go to car 8. We were scared the train would leave without us so we jump out and run for a bit (limp) and then hop back on around car 6 so the doors wouldn't close on us. The aisles are so tiny that we're knocking into people with our giant backpacks. We finally get to our car and our seats to find people there. We direct them to the right seats and finally sit down. We all take a nice nap but are starving. Of course we make the best of it and have as good of time as possible on a 6 hour train trip. There was a stop in Florence and we got new randies next to us, but they were nice. The guy came around to check tickets and asked (in Italian) if we got on at Florence. Now, I don't know Italian, but I understood what he was asking, Lynette just woke up and decided to answer with yes. haha I was like no sir, we got on in Rome. We all had a pretty good laugh at that!
We arrive and I am instantly in love all over again. We get dinner at a nice place that I went to last time, it was pretty expensive. Oh well, when in Venice! The next obvious step is to get gelato, KitKat of course! It was still amazing! We then decide to get to Camping Rialto before dark just to be safe. The bus system is pretty easy to figure out so we catch that within 10 minutes or so. It also took us awhile to figure out how to check in our tickets once we got there, don't worry, we mastered it. We only have a vague idea of what stop to get off at. After two stops, Kels decides to ask the bus driver. Just after she walks away, Lynette swears she sees bungalows. Louise and I, who are too tired to argue, agree to get off at this stop. So we grab Kelsie's bag and exit. Kels comes back, seems confused turns to us and Louise says "We have your bag". Kels throws up her hands and says "It's the next stop." In true movie fashion, the doors shut and the bus drives away. We pause for only a second before we lose it and start laughing. Luckily for us there is a sign saying it's just up ahead. We start walking and find that Kels is walking towards us, not angry as we thought.
Camping Rialto is actually pretty nice. We have our own chalet/bungalow with a full kitchen, bathroom, queen size bed, and a set of bunk beds. I am really happy with the place! We get wifi and let the world know that we are alive. We planned on making some food…but Lido down the street was closed, but there is a nice little store at the camp site so we grab some snacks. So then we just sat around talking. Oh yeah, Louise flooded the bathroom with her inability to work a shower curtain. Tomorrow is going to be a blast! I'm sooo excited!
