Phnom Penh 6.00am start to make our way to Phnom Penh by bus. There seems to be a lot of 'old signs' in South East Asia as the bus prices on the main board say one price, but as soon as you ask why they are charging you different their response is 'old sign'! Another early start for our moto tour of the countryside. We booked the drivers that took us to our hotel on arriving in Battambang as their English was really good and they seemed really friendly. It was $9 each for the whole day and as we first set off I was sooo scared! The roads are so bumply and have huge pot holes that the drivers either dodge or ride through! Siem reap to Battambang So, we've moved on again and are in BAttambang, Cambodia second largest city. We arrived here after a crippling 8 hours on a boat through Tonle Sap; very very beautiful and again we saw so much of Cambodian life but very very uncomfortable! Arriving at Siem Reap's port was an eye opener in itself as it was full of shacks and a shanty town really - very poor and the first time we saw children sat alone, starring into space and not smiling....
