Here we go again...
Ok, so last night we went to the old part of the city and had sangría with our friends from Iowa State. It was absolutely beautiful. There are many old buildings that look like castles, but they serve as churches. The roads are cobblestone and actually hurt my feet, but the city is so gorgeous, I barely notice how painful it truly is. Alice and I left around midnight with some of the other group members, but a good majority stayed behind and went to the bars with some other people our age. It was awesome to see the city at night, although, it's rather cold out right now.
This morning, Alice and I woke up around 11 and showered up for the day. My shower was absolutely freezing so it wasn't the best start to my day. After that, Lola told us to be ready at 12:30 but Alice and I thought she said 14:30 so we were taking our dear sweet time. When Lola came in, she told us we were going to the market. This market was not like anything I've seen before. Full fish bodies, including the head, shrimp with eyes, pig ears and feet, and cow tongue and nose. Apparently, they are really good, but Alice and I are not going to try them. Alice wasn't having the market, and afterwards, we toured part of the city. We went to el parque de el Rodeo, where they have a childrens' park, waterfall, pond, and running path. It was absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to take my daily runs there.
At about 6 pm, we met up with some group members again and went to el festival Sol y Musica. There were a lot of people in the area and everyone smokes. We didn't really enjoy it because most of the people were older than us so it wasn't a college setting. We were planning on going back tonight, but we decided to let our bodies rest up. So I'm now going to work on my online class but will blog again tomorrow. Hablar con vosotros más tarde!
