Day 2 we headed off from Hot water beach early, 7.30am, and made our way to a place called ….. where we went on a walk through an old gold mine which was really good, had to walk across two rope bridges and one guy started to swing side to side so we all started walking lopsided.

Inside the mines , were old tracks and in some parts really dark. So had to get my torch out to see where I was going, but it was really impressive and wet.
we then went to Paeroa where the famous L&P Lemonade and Paeroa comes form, basically spring water with lemon, that coco cola brought and are making millions on now and took the plant away from this and stuck in Auckland, so many people were made redundant, but it originates from here.

Then we got to Waitomo where we stayed the night, some people went off to do the caves but I decided to save my money.
so checked into a 4 bed dorm room with the annoying irish girl, tried to change rooms, but the staff were not being helpful.
Then went for a walk with a few people from the bus and walked through a filed, slushy mud, as it had been raining it was all horrible wet mud, by the end my trainers were covered in mud.
Headed out to Curlys bar and sat playing drinking games.
