Day 5 - Rotorua to Taupo
Today we had Gary another driver who drove us to Taupo.
We set off to Taupo stopped a few locations that were quite impressive.
First stop was at a blue lagoon, one of those hot water ones, it was very beautiful.
You may not know but New Zealand is built on 49 Volcano 's and there are two tronic plates one of the east and the other on the west.
That is why it is so geo thermal, with so much hot water around, like Iceland.
The second stop was at a small waterfall again it was flowing with really hot water, just amazing, seeing the mist lifting from the water.
I also went to a mud pool place, where we learnt more about the Maori culture, saw Geysers, spraying high above and sat on rocks that heated your bum, was great, oh and saw the Kiwi birds, they have become really rear now and was great to see three of them, the Kiwis blame it on the Possums that have made these birds nearly extinct.
Also stopped at a place that had water rushing downstream was very impressive.
Gary even decided to borrow some mud and ended up pasting all the girls on the bus with the mud. Then decided to tell us after that we still have some touristy places to check out still....
The look on some people faces was a picture, us girls just walked around pretending everything was normal.
