Arrived over the border after getting stamped for exiting Thailand and then stopping and getting stamped for entering Malaysia, the first thing I felt was it has a very British feel, the road layout, signs. things seemed organised.
So I spent one week in Penang - stayed in Gerogetown. Went shopping for the first few days and then the rest of the week I was tucked up in bed, as I ended up getting a cold, don't think not sleeping for 36 hours when I first got here, helped….oh well was a good party and an eventful night when I left Krabi.
The rest of the week, after being cooped up in bed, I dragged myself out, as Daria who I met in Krabi had decided to come to Malaysia.
So we walked around Penang and saw what we could and loved Little India, was like being in Southall or Green street, Asian clothes shops everywhere, indian music blaring, could smell indian food everywhere, even had a indian sweet shop, I was impressed. Was not expecting this at all.
Have to say the indian food was amazing…think im going to pile on the weight in Malaysia.
Penang has been great with all the old buildings really liked this place.
