Decided to fly to Salvador as it was cheaper. Flew in the afternoon and got to our hostel after 9 hours of travelling.
A lot of sitting around and waiting, the bus from the airport took about an hour and half and a bloody crazy bus driver!
Then took a taxi to where we were staying and the streets were filled with so many people and most of them were Africans.
If you don't know but Salvador is where most of the African Brazilians live, after the slavery ended most of the black Brazilians formed a community here in Salvador.
Only stayed 3 nights here, could have spent longer here, had nice areas around but didn't have the time or money.
Most days we were here it absolutely poured with rain, the streets were flooded.
The main square was awesome it where Michael Jackson filmed one of his videos…'They don't care about us'.
The streets were steep and cobbled which was pretty cool and the people were really friendly, also par took in some capoeira which is kind of hard.
Capoeira is basically like a dance that the African slaves use to perform, to the ordinary person it looked like a dance however it was more than that; it was a survival tactic basically a fighting technique.
Wish i had more time as it would have been nice to explore more around this area,
