hello! thought i would just finish off from katy... Cape Tribulation was definitely worth the visit.. although we were supposed to be staying there for 3 days but found that we actually had done pretty much all we could afford to do within 2 so we got the bus back a day early. This also meant that Katy had at least one day to actually see Cairns and relax a bit! We went jungle surfing.. i can't actually remember now if Katy wrote about this in the last blog but never mind. Basically you go up into the rainforest and climb this platform and then slide through the jungle between platforms around the trees (you do have a harness on!) It was so much fun! You got to go upsidedown and everything ..as you can probably see from the pictures! The whole thing took about 2 hours and then we were dropped back at the hostel. On the way back, the bus took us to this freshwater lagoon which we got to see for about 1/2 hour. It was really beautiful and there were lots of people there but we then found out that 9 people had died there in the last year because it is so easy to get sucked under the water with the pressure... luckily we didn't actually swim! We also got to see Port Douglas for about 1/2 hour too on the way back which is slightly more upmarket and apparently lots of single male billionaires live there. Shame we didn't stay longer!

The next day back in Cairns we were able to chill out by the lagoon and look around the shops and then in the evening the guys were doing a bbq which was really nice... although they brought waaay too much food which they then somehow managed to lose later in the club! And of course then came the dreaded Thursday morning when we had to part!! Was an emotional time...! So now I am here until Tuesday when I fly back to Sydney and then Melbourne...!
