Oh my... God just makes the scenery more & more beautiful! The location photo is of the sunset tonight @ the Devil's Churn in OR. We found a nice little 'mom & pop' inn (Charlie & Claudia-she got an IPad for Christmas, too, just like Robert) to stay here in Yachtas, OR. It looks out right on the ocean.
The vegetation is so lush & green...so many different kinds of wild ferns & mosses. We passed cranberry fields & wild berry bushes are all along the roads.
We saw 3 lighthouses built in the 1890's...all still operating with lighthouse keeper houses...all so picturesque.
Today we went to the smelliest place, ever! Even smellier than a feedlot! The Sea Lion Caves is an enormous natural sea grotto filled with smelly, shrieking sea lions. We rode an elevator down 300 ft & there they were! What a sight! Well, it was different.
Robert is still wishing for his boogie board, the waves are 20 & 30 ft high...oh well. We'll be driving Hwy 101 north tomorrow, then start heading south on Hwy 20...still living my dream!
Hope you & yours are well.
