It was really hard to choose my location photo for today's entry. We've seen rugged coastline, sandy beaches, lush ferns & moss covered rocks & trees, rushing mountain streams, & snow capped mountains. We're driving through OR's high dessert now but it's dark & I can't see anything. We can't stop until we get to Burns, OR. Robert is bound & determined to get to Elko, NV by tomorrow.
We said goodby to the Pacific West Coast this morning & turned south--headed home--kinda/sorta.
First though, we hiked around Seal Rock--a huge rock that seals like. All the stinky, shrieking seals were gone, though. We drove the "Over the River & Through the Woods Trail" today...really, no lie! That was the name & it was gorgeous! We were in the Willamette Natl. Forrest when we finally ran into snow. The snow plow had cleared the roads, so it was easy driving & we didn't have to use our chains.
I am very happy to say that while we were in the OR wild woods, we never encountered one Sasquash. We did encounter one 'iffy' Ax Man, though!
On to Utah...if Robert ever gets me to the big city of Burns...hope they have WiFi, a bed for my bod, & beef for my tummy.
Hope you & yours are well.
Kathleen
Hunter, Lily, Charlie, Whit, Michael, & Harper...I really miss y'all!
