Bonjour!
First up let me apologise for not posting until now- I am alive and well and havent posted until now because I have had no internet access until this moment.
My flight was great- to all of you who said it was going to be awful, I am sorry. I had a great old time. I slept for the first leg- about 10 hours, then watched High School Musical 3.... twice (I am trying to be ashamed but you know what, I cant. I loved it) Dubai was a little creepy, I felt as though everyone was staring at me. I was the only blonde woman in the airport I think.
The second leg wasnt as enjoyable, but I watched a few more movies, ate way too much food and slept a little more. Kala and Megan picked me up and we drove out to High Wycombe, where we were staying with Sam and Ben. I dumped my bag and as I was filled with energy from my big sleep on the plane, went out for a beer in a really cute little pub. I kind of felt as though I was in a scene from Men Behaving Badly which was great fun.
On Wednesday I woke up with a massive migraine and spent the day in bed, wishing I was dead. So that was no fun at all. Thursday we headed to Marlow and visited this really cute little cafe, really delicious potato and leek soup that really hit the spot. We took a stroll around the park, or what we could of it as it was flooded! Flooding! I couldnt believe it. From fires to flooding. Interesting planet we live on, hey?!
Friday we were up at the crack of dawn... infact it was before the crack of dawn. 2am precisely. We got a taxi to the airport and flew to Paris for valentines day! Or the weekend, whichever. There was a mixup with flights and mine went earlier so I arrived in Paris by myself in the snow! It was so beautiful and absolutely freezing. Kala, Meg & Sams flight was delayed then, so I decided to make a mission of the metro and find the hostel myself, which I successfully did. I was really really proud, I must say. I dumped the backpack and wondered around the streets of Paris by myself for a few hours, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Everything is so petite and cute, just the way you imagine it. Our hostel is right near the Sacre Coeur, which I can see from the window of my dorm.
I will write of my stories from Paris and put up pictures as soon as we get back to London on tuesday, I promise! There is no USB hole on this computer, and I think my time is nearly up.
I'm thinking of you all and miss you alot! Stay safe xox
