Today we joined a group tour of the Great Ocean Road. We were picked up from our hotel at 7.00am. Our first stop was Bells beach to watch the surfers. We had morning tea and headed to the memorial park. We had our photo taken under the great ocean road sign.
We then headed to see koala bears and we were lucky enough to spot 4! All of them were munching on gum tree leaves. They are very cute! We were also swarmed by a flock of parrots! About 20 parrots came out of the trees and landed on our heads, arms and back packs. Photos are quite amusing.
We had lunch and an ice cream at Apollo bay. We headed to Maits Rest for a walk in the rainforest! It was quite cold and damp but a great experience seeing some of the worlds tallest trees. We saw lots of kangaroos on our journey along the great ocean road. Our next stop was the twelve apostles, lock ard and London bridge. The views were absolutely stunning. We took lots and lots of pictures. I'll upload some today and the rest when we're are home. We have had a fantastic day and lots of different experiences and '1st times'. Can't wait for our next tour tomorrow to Phillip island and the penguins. Miss you all xx
