Today we went on a trip to Phillip Island to see the penguins. We stopped off at a wildlife park on the way where we had the chance to feed kangaroos and see koalas and lots of other animals. The kangaroos were really friendly but that's probably because we had food. Afterwards we headed to Swan lake, and a beautiful beach, which was deserted because it's chilly in Melbourne! Today we joined a group tour of the Great Ocean Road. We were picked up from our hotel at 7.00am. Our first stop was Bells beach to watch the surfers. We had morning tea and headed to the memorial park. We had our photo taken under the great ocean road sign. We then headed to see koala bears and we were lucky enough to spot 4! All of them were munching on gum tree leaves. They are very cute! We were also swarmed by a flock of parrots! About 20 parrots came out ...

We have been sightseeing around Melbourne today. We started off at Queen Victoria market and then got a tram around the city. We headed for the Yarra river and took a cruise along it to see melbourne's highlights. We the went to the top on the Eureka sky deck 88 floors up and had a brilliant view of Melbourne. Last night we met up with my friend Bill for dinner. We had burgers and even tried kangaroo. We went to an Irish boozer after for a beer. Today we have travelled from Perth to Melbourne on Aussies version of easyjet - tiger airways!
