Hey guys!
Will be a shortish blog this time round - getting a bit over these now
Since our last entry we have been touring around the Canadian Rockies. They are truly spectacular (and it has…
What a busy couple of weeks!
Been exploring all the sights and delights of the Californian coast (contrary to popular belief, we're not in Mexico ????????????)

Hello!
Just had a look at your fabulous photos and it sounds like you're having an amazing time!
After reading Terry's message (hello Terry!) it sounds like your journey is coming to an end soon. I bet you have some mixed feelings about that!
We're in Wanneroo now. I started mat leave on Sept 12th. Woo hoo! Chris's course is going well and we're just eagerly awaiting the arrival of little worthington. 3 weeks to go...allegedly!
Anyway, I hope to see you soon in sunny Perth! Give me a ring/email when settled!

Good morning 2se! Sorry about the spellos in the last blog but was in a hurry! You understand that school work never stops, Katie! School hols just a day or so away and I'm heading to Perth for some extra study in the labs. Never know you might be back in time. Send me a text when you arrive. Mel and Ken's farewell is at Judds on October 9th so that should be a blast. I hope that you are making the most of your final few days overseas and I would imagine that you are now looking forward to returning to Earth?!? I hope that Vancouver is providing nice weather since it can be very unpredictable at this time of the year with rain and sleet so take care. Loved your mobile home....looked very cosy but why was it so cold on some occasions, Gerard? Haven't seen much beer and skittles over the last few weeks....have you both stopped eating and drinking? Getting ready for the Aussie summer....swimsuits etc??
Anyway I have exam papers to mark. Words gone.
See you soon.

Good morning to you two way up in the Rockies! Hope this reaches you?? Went to Perth last weekend for study and now only 6 weeks until finals. I suppose that you've heard by now that we have a new government and that over 70% of the Teachers rejected the offer from the Carpenter Government. Now we have to wait and see what the new sheriff offers. He has a minority government which means that he has hopped into bed with the Nats. There are only 24 Libs in parliament as opposed to 28 Labor. But with the Independents (2) and the Nats (5) Colin Barnett is the new premier. It will be an interesting mix since the Nats reckon that they are not in Coalition but I think I know better being an existentionalist. I am just preparing you for your return. I heard Manjimup described the other day as one of the most beautiful places in WA but since I've never been there I don't know. Mel and Ken are away soon with Mel doing her last piece of relief work with us tomorrow. I sure will miss them. But I might get to see them at Xmas time. The East is beckoning....some little architect wants to meet up again to kick over past times. Emma has moved onto Darwin to work on the gas rigs there but since you don't know her and only heard about her I won't go on!??! I hope that you are enjoying the last dyas of your trip. Mel is oing to email you and ask what your eta into Perth will be. They may miss seeing you!
Take care. Wortds gone!

Well after a very, very, very non-eventful, didn't happen, trip to Mehico, the pics of the West Coast were truly inspiring. You two just keep on bringing back those memories! I am pleased to see that you had a Malibu Board Katie since anything smaller and you may not have been able to keep upright?? Did you try and get a bigger one since they do make them. By the way in Oz we call cooking meat outside a BBQ....now say after me.....Barb-B-Cue! I can see that we need to debrief you on your return! On a mmore serious note.....Did you hear about the WA elections? As of today both Labor and Libs hold 24 seats each with the possibility of a hung parliament. Nats hold 4 seats and Independents 4 seats. Still some to be counted. Whichever way it goes neither party will have the 30 seats to govern in its own rright...makes for interesting politics!! Must go! Work awaits!!
See ya

Hasta la vista! Adios! Mehico! Holy Toledo! Hot Chilli Peppers! Cantina! Hombre! Speedy Gonzales! Acapulco! Down south of the border down Mehico way! Are you there yet? A bit of fun and a pinch and a punch for the first of the month! No paybacks! Today is Wattle ay in Australia so I am thinking "Wattle I do next for entertainment?" I imagine that you'll try and fit in a fair bit in over the next couple of weeks so any updates that you do will probably be done on the run although I imagine that everything is well planned up to the last days away. Talk with you soon.
No more words. Spanish a disaster!

Fun to read your updates!! You are absolutely right about Venice being our own little freakshow... Justin and I went there in April for the first time and didn't even get out of the car, even though I thought it was meant to be a nice place. We kept right on until we got to Santa Monica - which is quite ritzy, eh? I took a friend to Carrie's stoop again today and thought of you!

Mornin' yoawl! Terrific to see such a wide range of pics in the latest batch. You are in a part of California that is just beautiful at this time of the year but, if you can, try and get up into the hills or into some of the agricultural areas...just blows your mind! The old yanks sure do it iin a big way. Katie you will need to practise more on your surfboard if you are going to get any good at those BIG waves, not like the ones you surfed in Munich (heh heh heh!!). I imagine that you will head further south towards Mehico shortly. I don't know how you'll get on down there since I found it rather challenging! The surfing that is! Some big mothers down that way....Gerard should be okay! I was pleased to see food enter the equation once again but it was difficult to see what you were eating. Anyway, work beckons since no new romance in this little fella's life, (eh mon Cherie?). Words gone!
Cheers and beers
