Good Morning Vietnam! We're in Saigon, and it's crazy. We arrived here yesterday after getting a flight from Danang (near Hoi An). So that's our 6th flight of the trip, or something ridiculous. But when the 1 hour flight costs less than the 26 hour train journey, it would be silly not to fly really, don't you think? Hoi An was lovely. Really small town on the coast with a couple of (apparently) lovely beaches - we never made it there because our $6 dolla...

Hey hey! So...a little update: We finally had a couple of days of nice weather, which coincided nicely with our trip to Ha Long Bay. It was so beautiful - thousands of limestone rocks. surrounded by clear blue sea. Very pretty. We paid a little bit more for our trip than other people we'd met, but it was definately the right decision. Our boat was by far the nicest, and we were treated like royalty for two days. Hey everyone! I'm in Hanoi, and it's raining. A lot. In fact it's been raining torrentially for about 5 days now - during our whole time in Hong Kong, a nasty flight to Vietnam, and our time here. But we're determined not to let it bother us, so we've just booked a two day boat tour to Halong Bay, which could be very interesting if the weather stays like this.
