Hey y'all. Working at the winery now, or wineyards should I say :) Great job, the best I've ever had so far! Got sick on friday, so spent the next 5 days in bed with a over 38 fever.. Nice. Man I was pissed cause I couldn't go to work. But wednesday I made it then. This week I've been driving my mule around (maddy i call her), re-tensioning with Molly, my big Swedish friend. He's not Swedish, but they call us blonds that sometimes :D Easy job.. Dusty, yeah, but love driving round the farms all day. Then I've been hanging out with the boss a lot, half of each day so far actually. He's great and hot as hell.. Those italians.. :P Been trying hard not to drool too much, but man those eyes..... *wipes the drool off the keyboard* :D But he's great. He's been taking us for beers most nights and the other day we had a bbq with lots of beers, so we stayed at his place for the night. Had his friend over and he brought a couple buddies. And he was feeling the worst in the morning after we got up to go to work after 2hrs of sleep :P Anyway, he's the best. All the guys at work are great. I'm the only girl actually. But I keep up with the men. My pink hat is the only thing that doesn't mix with the crowd :)

Anyway, weekend coming up. Don't know what to do.. Hot hot hot.. It was +44 the other day. Today was cold, only +30. Actually froze my ass off driving Maddy. The best thing when I'm working is the scenery. I'm starting to think I don't wanna leave this little town.. :D People are great, the view is great. The weather ain't perfect, clear blue sky all the time and hot and sunny.. Nights are sometimes cold and mornings. But it's the desert :)

In the next few days we are moving into a house, "company house". I can't wait. Everyone seems to be really jealous of us. But let's face it, and i admit it, we hit the jackpot! The best luck ever to land such a great jobs with amazing bosses :) And they aren't taking on any more workers, so we can't even hook anyone up. But really, I don't care that much. Own ass most important here. Yeah, Mikkos too. And our asses are covered in honey :P After a long downhill, life is GREAT!! And for the first time since I've been in Australia, I am honestly happy and enjoying myself. No more stress!! :) LOVING LIFE BABY!!!

Here's a vision of today. Standing in between the wine rows. A cool breeze blowing, clear blue sky with no clouds anywhere. I look down the line, see mountains in the distance. Grapes are hanging off the vines. Pick one and put in in my mouth.. So good. Look up and see parrots flying above me, the sun making their red bellies shine. There's no outside noise anywhere. On the other side i see "our dam" where you can go for a swim after work. The blue water glisters and a duck family swims lazily along.. Look back at my little Maddy, all covered in dust and think : life is sweet. Then i cough a little dust outta my lungs and hop back on, put the gear on and lazily start making my way down the line, catching up with Molly who's chilling and eating grapes. Look Kati, he says, whatever makes ya happy, and laughs from the heart. Not telling what I did to make him laugh tho, that's another story :D
