Our first full day in Caceres! After waking up with only a few hours of sleep in us, we headed into town to run some errands. Ginny and I stayed up late last night getting to know our other roommate. We have one other student from Michigan staying here while he studies at the same university that we will. He is here for 3 more weeks, but it was fun catching up with him last night to hear how things have gone for him.

After a good breakfast of cafe con leche and toast we headed to town to meet the group. We spent much of the morning going to places to buy phones, meet the dean of our new school, and buy hair straighteners and blow dryers:) We returned home for lunch at about 2:30 and after took a well deserved siesta. Ginny and I passed out for about 3 hours until we had to go into town again. I am still getting used to this new meal schedule! We normally eat breakfast at about 9, lunch at 2:30 and dinner at 10:30. It is taking some getting used to but the food has been great.

After we walked around with the group in the evening, my roommate Ginny and our friends Sean and Andrew went out to dinner and drinks for the rest of the night. We wound up at this little hole in the wall where they have the largest hamburgers in Spain. We got the one that fed 4 people, but they make one that can feed 16! I have a picture of the burger if you wanna check it out! After dinner, us four headed into town to check out the different types of bars that Caceres has. It was fun to go from place to place and meet people. Ginny and I missed the night bus to head home so we grabbed a taxi and had some fun trying to explain exactly when we live:) We arrived home at about 3:00, which is pretty early for most spanish young adults. They normally stay out until about 6 in the morning! That is going to take some getting used to.

It was a great, but busy day. We are finally starting to get into a routine, which is nice. Im hoping that we will get a chance to see the school tomorrow since we got our schedules today. I am taking 12 credits, so only 4 classes. We have two classes a day and they are usually from about 11-1 monday-thursday. Getting excited to see what classes are like!
