My third day in Queenstown consisted of a monumental bike ride (another escapade for which I was thoroughly unprepared!) through very mountainous terrain to a place called Arrowtown, a very cute town that looked like it had been plucked straight from an old country and western. The whole bike ride albeit a struggle was very beautiful, probably one of the most picturesque I will ever do in my life. 60km later bruised and shattered I treated myself to warm cookies and ice cream from cookie time in Q'town, if you ever go there make sure to visit this place, heaven! My final day I made the trip to Milford sound - currently being contested for the eighth natural wonder and rightly so. It has been included in some books already I'm told! This place is the ultimate in unspoilt beauty. I cannot even put into words the feeling of being out there on the top deck of a boat soaking it all up. As with so many places in New Zealand, words just fail me. Weirdly enough, you sometimes wish to see something mediocre so that you can make sure you are consistently appreciating the beauty surrounding you. I guess that's why I'm writing this blog as it helps me to relive these moments and appreciate them all over again.
