Hi everyone, keep the messages coming. Sorry i am being so slack at updates and photos. The photo updating is not my fault as the computer systems here, like the electricity, are extremely unreliable and barely working.! I was in in jodphur yesterday and caught our bus at eight this morning! SWe had a six hour bis journey going via a jain temple. I have got so good at travelling now trhat six hours seems like nothing and when you've got the desert out the window and Hanif our tour guide keeping us ammused, it flies by. We stopped at the jain temple at 12 and were first to have a lunch with the jain pilgrims. They eat tali which was 20 rupees all you can eat. Bargain! You had to eat it with your fingers though and right hand only. It nearly blew my head off! The jain people wear masks as they believe everything is sacred and thereofre don;t want to eat flies!!!! The temple was also really lovely, built it 1600 and it was nice to stretch our legs from the buis. After a wonder round, we boarded again for a rather hairy ride all over mountains to udiapur!! (so we've gone from the desert to mountains) The scenery was amazing with girls in sahris working in the fields! The coach journey was made even more amusing as hanif had brought us the local advertiser for wives!!! where parents advertise their daughters to prospective husbands. Udaipur is the largest city in rasjasthan and from what i can tell it is lovely! We have had a quick look arouind and now im off for dinner by the lake with the group. Im not hungry though due to the tahli lunch!!!! hope everyones ok. Keep the emails coming im finding it mega hard to have time to reply but wwill try my best.
