Koh Tao is amazing, such a great island. We spent a week here and enjoyed lots of time on the beautiful beach.

SCUBA DIVING! Claire and I decided seeing as we were in Koh Tao we had to give scuba diving a go- omg, i was not expecting to be so scared- i cried on the boat!!! How embarrassing. However, once we picked up the skills and got under water it was really good, so strange to breath underwater, and amazing experience. Especially as we swam around some brilliant coral and saw lots of tropical fish. We only went 6 metres but that was enough for us, its still apretty long way down! The good thing is that the qualification lasts 12 months so if we wantt o dive anywhere else, i might try to in Australia, then it is still valid. That's so long as i don't cry again! haha.

SONGKRAN!!! Songkran is the Thai New Year and to celebrate it the whole of Thailand has a huge water fight on that day! The whole country goes mad! Some places continue it for up to 3 or 5 days, Koh Tao just did the 1 day but that was crazy enough. The whole streets turned into chaotic water fights, they even set up sprinklers in the air, had water stations everywhere so you could re-fill. So glad we got to experience the madness. The kids have the day off school and business close in order to take part in the national water fight! We also bumped into some people we met in India so was good to share it with them as well!

On our last day Claire and I spent it on this tiny island next to Koh Tao where the water is crystal clear, beautiful!
