FULL MOON PARTY!!! The main attraction of Koh Phangan is the legendary Full Moon Party which happens once a month (obviously on the full moon!). 20,000 people take to the huge beach at Haad Rin and have one almighty party. it was insane. Drinking out of the infamous buckets and partying to the early hours. A definite ticke on the travelling to-do-list. And to make things even beter pporly Cliare was feeling better just in the nick of time in order to enjoy the night we'd been waiting over a year for!

I also went to a couple pre-parties the night before, including the Jungle Party which was just as crazy as the full moon but in a jungle!

We chose to stay a bit further away from Haad Rin in order to get some quiet and so we stayed at Haad Salad, a gorgeous beach with stunning sunsets. Unfortunatley the sea is filled with coral, great for snorkelling but horrendous if you're like me and accidently stand on it therefore resulting coral stuck in my foot... painful and now infected! The nurse is never open either do resorted to some thai massage ladies digging aruond in my foot with tweezers and god knows what else to try and get it all out- i have never been in more pain and my crying and screaming can't have been comforting for the poor holiday makers having massages done at the time...

Koh Phangan is beautiful and crazy, we stayed for a week and had a great time, loving the south islands already!
