Well, while we are waiting for our heads to catch up from the rollercoaster of the last couple of months, I thought it was best to post an update, seeing as though I have been too ridiculously busy to get to it recently and won't get the chance again til Feb next year! Coz I'm back off to the States for work after the chrissy holiday.
So…whats happened…….Well, firstly, as you know…Kai proposed!!!!!!!!!!! Yep!!!!!! Holy cow! Big news huh! He was ever so romantic! as per usual! And it was a complete surprise!!!!! We are over the moon and cant wait to start the planning! No dates for the big day have been set yet, as we are trying to work out how we organise a wedding in Perth from Zurich without travelling home that often….so it may be 1-2 years away…..we haven't had time to sit down and chat about it yet, so nothing has been sorted. But yeah, it will be good over the holidays to be able to sit down and let it all sink in! We only had 1 night to celebrate before he was off to Perth for work! And since being back we've been just too busy….so we are very much looking forward to chrissy holidays!!!!
Oh yeah, and just before I started work, we had krzysztof (one of Kai's good mates) come to visit for a couple of nights over one weekend…which was a lot of fun,and great to see a familiar face. We have posted some pics from his time here which are cool…it was snowing then….and still continues to, but yeah, we had some fun seeing the sights, relaxing in a few bars and sliding down icy hills while rushing to catch a train! Hahaa
But since then I have spent all of the daylight hours at work. (Apart from weekends) The hours are long, but the work and people definitely make up for it!!! I love it!!!!!!….and because of the beautiful scenery and constant snow fall, the 1 ½ hour trip to Schaffhausen and back each day is definitely bearable! Although I must admit…yesterday was a bit trying…..it took me 2 ½ hours to get to work because the snow fall was so heavy that the busses were forced to stop, and we all had to walk to the closest tram…which then dropped us off in the vicinity of the train station (not AT the train station like normal), so I then had to do some more walking/slipping/skating in the dark at 6.30am, in a small blizzard to the station….I've come to the realisation that I need more grippy boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But yeah..apart from the minor hastle….i can still comfortably say that I am in LOVE with the snow!!! It just doesn't get old! Hence why all my photos I've attached are white! Hahahhaa
Oooh, and in more news…..Kai was lucky enough over the last week and a half to spend time back in sunny Perth with family and friends! JEALOUS ME! Hahaha He actually had managed to wangle a work trip to Perth around the weekend of his sister's joint 18th and 30th birthday party!!!! So yeah, as you can imagine, he came back with a tan(!) and lots of chrissy prezzies!!! YAYAYYAY! ….And a tummy bug! Blah…which he felt the need to share!!!!! So we spent the past weekend acquainting ourselves with the porcelain throne and trying to decipher the german writing on the bathroom décor. Hahaha
But now we are all better and ready to head off to Paris tomorrow for Christmas with Kai's family! We will be there for a week before heading to Rome for a week over the new year, and then head to northern Italy to meet Kai's dad's family, and then off to Garmisch Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps for some skiing and pain! Woohoo! We are very excited!!
Well, I better run…I'm so sorry if this is really awkward to read and all over the place, but I haven't got much time to update this, and my mind has a thousand things swimming around in there at the moment :-P
But yeah……we miss you all and hope that Christmas back at home is amazing! I will skype home on chrissy day ok family! Don't you worry! You cant get rid of me that easily!!!!!!!! Mwah ha ha mwah ha ha
Love you all!!
Ciao for now!!!!!!!!!!
