Halloween Party in Portugal here we come. So it's just after 11pm and I am exhausted after too many lates and walking about 15km around Porto today but it's Halloween and we must celebrate. Joana & Teresa have some wigs for their costumes and they grabbed some crazy glasses for me too wear!
We went to the first bar about 20 minutes walk and unfortunately it was raining heavily but luckily we had umbrellas! We met their friends and then moved on to the next bar - there were a few people out but not so many. However when we left this bar at about 1:30pm the whole street was crammed with people all dressed up - the Portuguese really get into the spirit of Halloween!
So the thing to do is to stand around in the street talking with friends and when you need a drink go into bar purchase and then you can take it out on the street - very cool!
At about 3pm the group we were with decided to go to the Nightclub - I was exhausted and ready to sleep but I got talked into it. The worst thing was it was €10 to get in because it was Halloween but you got that money back in drinks. The club was massive over 3 floors and the music was pretty average - however the decorations and costumes were awesome! I had a few tequila shots and then got out on the dance floor with our group of about 10 people and god did they know how to party at 7am they were all still madly dancing and every time I went to sit down one of the girls would grab me and pull me back out onto the dance floor at about 7:30am they kicked us out and by 8am we were home absolutely exhausted and starving hungry!
I spent until about 1:30pm in bed which was a real treat and we had quite a lazy afternoon - it was all saints day and it was a public holiday so nothing was open - perfect day to be inside.
In the evening we went for a walk and coffee and the girls showed me where the train station was as tommorow I am catching train upto Guimaraes.
After a massive night out it was great to have a lazy day ……
