Waking up today was thankfully a nice change from the last few days, my stomach pains had subsided and my appetite was back. To keep it safe I made some porridge for breakfast which went down a treat. I decided I would still continue to rest and try eat only bland foods incase my stomach was still easily irritated. For lunch I went for some chicken soup and unfortunately 20 minutes later I was rushing to the bathroom. Great my stomach is still no good which means more bland food and another day of rest - this is driving me crazy all this sitting around. Later in the afternoon I decided to go for a walk to the markets and buy some apples so that I could make some apple sauce which is supposed to be easy on the digestive system and a pleasant change from oats and cereal. I ended up buying about a kg of juice apples, chopping them up, adding them to a pot of hot water, chucked in 4 TBSPs of brown sugar and a tsp of cinnamon and let simmer for an hour. The result; quite a tasty, chunky apple sause and a good way to ease some vitamins and minerals into a touchy digestive system. The rest of the evening I watched movie after movie before passing out around midnight.
