Sunday 26 July 2009-Ulaan Baatar

Once again I sit in Nayra Café eating a late lunch, drinking a cappy (with Mongolian milk) and catching up with internet stuff.

Today we sorted our gear into 'take to the countryside', 'leave at Grandma's place' and 'leave at Shedrup Ling Centre,packed our stuff and headed off in a taxi (remind me to tell you about taxis in UB sometime) to the Zaluuchuud Hotel.Today we start our tour!Hotel room is massiveand even has two beds and a bathroom that promises hot water.However, does not have a lift but we are in training for the trekking.

Tomorrow we head off on a 6 hour train ride into the Gobi and three nights at a Ger camp learning about the natural wonders of Mongolia.

Must hurry up and finish my late lunch - briefing at 6 and we still have to call into Shedrup Ling to drop off stuff.
