Ok, so after a little juggling we managed to give Romaine some rest time and antibiotics to recover instead of diving; and by the boat ride out to Sipadan the next day she felt ... manageable.
Among the sites was a massive school of Jacks being followed by white tip reef sharks, giant trevally and a huge, mean looking tuna.
We also encountered a swirling school of possibly around 1000 baraccuda and numerous green-sea turtles of all sizes.
It really was quite impressive. As we surfaced from our first dive the rain came pummelling down on us, but by the second dive the sun was back and stayed that way for the remaining hours of daylight.
I stayed up to watch a football match while Romaine got an early night. Tomorrow we head back to the main land and off to Sepilok for more orang-utans before heading to a nice beach location for a bit of Xmas chillaxing.
