Unlike other lakes that I fish in "Central Alberta", the fish in "Beaver Lake" are not generally caught by trolling. In this lake the best success is achieved by taking up a strategic position in the various bays and channels and casting towards shore, trying to locate the prey. The picture shows a satellite view of Carefree Resort where my summer cabin is located. From here most of my fishing adventures begin. Within a radius of 75 km.there are 39 "Pot Hole Ponds" most of them teaming with rainbow trout and others are stocked with brookies or browns.
