Monday I went to the Great Barrier Reef!

I went with James (of course) and two friends Nassim and Colette, we went on Ocean Spirit Cruses. We got a good deal with the boat and left early in the morning. James and I also rented an underwater digital camera so we could take lots of pictures.

Our first stop was at Oyster Cove in the Great Barrier Reef. We put on our diving things and I was pritty much first in the sea! I looked down and straight away i saw a white tip shark, I quickely shouted at james to pass me the camera but when I tried to turn it on the shark swam away. I denfently saw the shark, I should know what they look like as they had that speices in the oceanarium. But james doesnt beleive me as there were 'no photos' lol

I carried on swimming and the correl was beautiful, lots of differnt colours, and i saw beautiful parrot fish with were multicoloured. I also saw lots of 'nemo's' and 'dorries' and other fish I dont know what they are called. I also saw a small stingray.

As im sure you may of guessed I was last out of the water and got back on the boat and we had a fantastic lunch, much better than i thought it would of been.

Our next stop was at Upolo Cay - which was a picturesque white sandy island in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef. We swam over to the island and the water was so clear, and again lots of fish - it was like swimming through an aquarium!

The island was great and T didnt want to leave! I didn't want to get back on the boat.

Unfortunatly we had to go back to the boat and again I was pritty much last back on the boat and we sailed back to Cairnes.

The day was fantastic and we had all our pictures downloaded onto cd - i'l try and upload them, i also took and underwater video aswell but im not sure I can up load that, may have to wait until I get back to see the video.
