Waking up at around 9:30 we went to the hotel buffet breakfast which we love!!!! So many banana and mango pancakes and fried eggs! The ladies who run the hotel learn everyone's names and are literally the nicest people we've met so far!
In preparation for the Vietnamese sun we applied cream for about an hour making sure EVERY INCH of our body was covered! It wasn't enough. Burn day 2k11 had begun! Our friend John (creepy guy from previous blog) suggested a beach called am bang which was yet to be discovered by toutists. Research on the Internet (did we mention we have a computer in our room) told us that such beaches were dangerous due to unexploded land mines but the beach was worth the risk!!!
We had two crazy ladies argue over us - they both wanted us to use their sunbeds. We made the wrong choice because lunch at the others ladies place was better and so we ate there and the crazy botch from te other restaurant demanded 80000 for the sun beds. In typical "us" fashion we ran away down the beach to other sun beds!
After lunch we risked playing in the sea for a few more hours until we decided we couldn't bare the scorching sun any longer. Returning to our hotel on our motorbikes we went in the pool - funnest pool session EVER! What started out as a game of keep up with the ball ended in a rather x-rated fashion. As the game became more intense as did our "women's Wimbledon style" yelps each time we hit the ball. This soon led to all other residents vacating the pool area. Three hours later we left the pool!
After checking our guide book we headed out to what was promised to be "the most authentic Indian restaurant in vietnam". They were so right! Our curries were genuinely INCREDIBLE! Feeling overly bloated from far too much chicken and naan bread, we waddled back to our room so we could sleep for scuba diving the next day.
We decided to watch the film "morning glory" but 45 minutes into the film Josh looked around to find everyone else asleep. Turns out the other barely made it past the opening credits. Josh looks forward to seeing the first 45 minutes again...
