Good evening Canada!
So I have officially landed in the land of maple syrup and moose, picked up straight from the airport, had a driving tour of Toronto, been well fed and smothered in love from the family dog Muppet and ready to crash into bed (it's now 10pm here). Nothing new to report other than I was almost denied access to the country (not an exaggeration). Customs/Canadian embassy did not inform me that I didn't even need to borrow the 'approved for a visa' letter (I had to wait 2 months for) cause all they needed to see was the Muskoka contract to prove the dates I will be working. AFTER ALL THAT STRESS ABOUT THE VISA and the one thing they needed was the one thing I hadn't printed out CAUSE I ALREADY SENT IT TO THE CANADIAN EMBASSY BACK HOME! Thank goodness I had my iPad on me so that I could look up the email with the attachment of the contract, which luckily she accepted to see electronically. It was a close call and a mistake I will not be making in the future any time soon. She was legit ready to send me back where I came from. Sheesh.
