Today was a REALLY big travel day. We have spent hours in the bus.
First we went to visit a cathedral that was built in the year 850. Its called La Cattolica and its tiny. Built on the very top of the mountain and it has only one room, but it is beautifully decorated. There was a tiny man that looks after it, and with soup nazi confidence says NO FOTOS. I was really sneaky and took a couple. While we were there there was perfect sunshine and rain with no clouds, I was told this is called a rain shadow as it was raining really heavily on the other side of the mountain but the strong wind was blowing it over to our side. Pretty cool.
Then we went to a ruins site to have a squizz. I was a little over ruins so I passed and went to a little alementari (deli) and had a beautiful freshly baked foccacia, ham and provolone cheese, toasted all for the grand sum of €2, BARGAIN!
Then we took the autostrada to a town called Reggio so we could board the ferry to Sicily, for our first night on the island. Tonight we are staying in Milazzo.
No much here to do so I went for a walk, found a small family pasticceria and had a snack. The lady was very interested in my story and didnt end up charging me for my snack. See! What did I tell you, GORGEOUS people here.
Ciao

Betty Saunders Jordan, leave the ruins and get out amongst the people! Love the way you are talking and exploring but just a little worried about the amount of food you seem to be enjoying. Don't want you to love that stunning figure. hahaha
