Day 10 Roberston to Oudtshoorn Up and about early today as we had a long four hour drive ahead of us and we had to be at the Cango Caves by 1pm for our tour. Oudtshoorn is the "ostrich capital of the world", this was very obvious as all the fields we passed contained thousands and thousands of Ostriches and every shop we drove past was selling some sort of Ostrich related product! Day 9 On the road again today heading from Franschhoek to Robertson. The scenery was beautiful once again with rolling green hills covered with grapevines! Our first stop was Worcester to visit with our friend Marica's mum and dad, after a lovely cupa and some even more delicious Koeksisters we hit the road for Robertson! Day 8 Today was a day of rest, we have been on the go for a week so we thought we would take it easy. Day 7 Franchhoek Wine tram Today we spent the day on the wine tram, well actually it was wine bus and a wine tram as the tram only goes to two vineyards. We stopped at six vineyards namely, Le Lude, Le Petite Dauphine, Holden Manz, La Couronne , Rickety Bridge and Grand Provence. Day 6 Cape Town to Franchoek via Hermanus. Today the road trip started in earnest, we set off in Cape Town after a lovely breakfast and headed out onto the N2 motorway towards Hermanus.
