Hi People,

As promised a brief round up of the hike. You can see from the photos the hike involved lots of pain, rain, cold and loo roll. The photos however dont do justice to the beauty of the area, and to finish in Machu Picchu was amazing. After the hike we spent three more days in Cusco, shopping and horse riding (photos) coming soon which brings us to here in Puno on the border of Peru and Bolivia.

I have just got back from a nights stop over on an island in the middle of ´Lake Titikaka. We all stayed in pairs with a local family having dinner, getting dressed up in local clothes and going to a local island party. It was good fun to get back to the basic things in life (the island dates back to 4000 yrs B.C.) We also stopped on some of the floating islands in the middle lake made of grass and reeds, quite amazing.
