Thursday - took the ferry across the Harbour to Taronga Zoo where we stumbled across wild peacocks, pigeons with weird beaks and emus ready to strike. We watched the seal show, a particular favourite of Maria's and narrowly avoided being splashed. Ended the day by walking around the Botanical Gardens and taking pictures from Mrs Macquarie's seat.
Friday - we spent the first part of our morning avoiding the seagulls who threatened to steal our pain au chocolats and jazz apples. Maria's fear of sharks was not helped by the shark tank we walked underneath at the sealife centre and the tour guide suggesting that 5-10 are killed by sharks a year. Many surfer dudes were seen at Bondi Beach and this made us happy!
Off to the Blue Mountains tomorrow before leaving Sydney on Sunday morning.

Dad What about koalas? Thought Maria was after a cuddle with one? When is your surf day? I have no idea about Mrs Macquarie's seat - where was she then? Thanks for the entry. Really good to keep up with the trip.
Veronica Watch out for them seagulls. You know the mess they leave! Enjoy the Blue Mountains. We are following your adventures and look forward to the next instalment. Any chance of bringing me back a koala bear!
Grandma & Grandad Really enjoying the blog - sounds as if you are having a great time! We really enjoyed Sydney - this brings it all back. Grandma & Grandad
Katarina Please tell me you petted (or at least took photos) of some incredibly cute and exotic animals at the zoo?
N & M Maria wil be cuddling a koala tomorrow and we shall bring you a toy one back Veronica. Grandparents - we were thinking of your bravery in going up that steep railway in the Blue Mountains! Even our tour guide called it an 'adrenaline junkie' favourite!! Kat - Maria held a guinea pig...but we took lots or pictures!
Haider I think everything in this trip will be eclipsed by Bondi. Massively jealous you went to Bondi beach. ~Their tv show is like my favourite show ever! :'(
