Hello all,Welcome back to South Africa.Since my last posting so much has happened that it would take me ages to write about it all so I will try and be brief. The highlight of the week was a night drive into the bush, we set off about 10pm and after only a few minutes came across some impala and then without any warning we found ourselves in the middle of a pride of lions, about 15 of them. It was amazing that they took no notice of us (apparently they only see the shape of the truck we were on) we followed them for a while until they decided to have a rest. Some were about 20 meters away. After watching them for about an hour we left them. Sunday we went paint balling which was fun but it stung when hit by the ball. We went for a hike in the mountain and walked through a native settlement. The kids followed us until we left. I have been quad biking through a game reserve and came across a giraffe that had died of natural causes, it was quite sad to see but it happens. Tomorrow some of us are going on a micro light flight over the bush. I hope to see some animals from the air.(this was cancelled as it was windy)will try again tomorrow I spent a day driving through the greater Kruger reserve and only covered a fraction of it as it is so large. We came across a herd of elephants about 50 in all including some baby ones. I will post some pictures later. It was great day as we saw so many different animals and birds.Today Sunday is overcast which is a relief as it has been so hot.I will try and post another blog next week.Take care JohnPS thanks for the messages as it is nice to get them
