Heading south along the spectacular highway 6 along West coast South Island, stopped off at CapeFoulwind for a walk along the coast where theres a large seal colony and is closest point to Oz. On way south stopped off for another couple of walks at Truman track and PororariRiver before reaching the Pancake rocks. Had a feed of pancakes, syrup, fersh cream and fruit, before checking out the rocks themselves which look just like layers of pancakes with blowholes exploding with spray from the waves through them. Stopped off in Greymouth to sort ourselves out with fancy dress outfits for the nights theme of old people, to celebrate Les'84th birthday. We made it to the Lake Mahinapua Hotel and met Les and his pub. Walked up to check out the lake before getting sorted out for the nights festivities, and Les with his only helper cooked us a feed of his legendary venison (bambi) stew.
